Our Mission, Vision & Divisional Goals

The Division of Student Affairs in collaboration with Academic Affairs and other divisions is to build and preserve the university community which will allow students to reach their full intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual potential. The Division will promote a value system that includes integrity, self management, academic achievement, personal and community engagement, and diversity.

STRATEGIC VISION

  • The Division of Student Affairs has assembled a talented staff and resources to deliver outrageous customer services, help students find their authentic self, and become active learners.
  • The Division expects learners to embrace the core value system that includes integrity, personal and community engagement, diversity, and self management.
  • It is the Division’s goal to partner with the University Community to improve retention and graduation rates for their students, and help prepare them for becoming capable and successful young men and women in their lives as well as in their career.

  • Recruit, retain, and develop quality staff
  • Work collaboratively with Academic Affairs and other divisions to ensure a quality learning experience for students
  • Secure adequate resources to achieve divisional goals through responsible use of state, student fees, federal, grant, and receipt funding
  • Provide a safe academic environment, which is designed to encourage interaction that reflects the values of the University
  • Assist in increasing the recruitment, retention and graduation rates of students
