What types of living styles are offered to residential students?
Albany State University currently offers four (4) living styles designated for residential students. The styles are Traditional, Modern, Suites, and Apartments.
Are there requirements to reside in different residence halls?
Yes, there are different requirements for each hall. Please view the chart below to determine the resident hall you qualify for.
Wiley- Freshman Male Only Hall 1- Non first-time freshman, Female Only

What is provided in the room?
Each room is provided with a bed/ mattress combination, closet, dresser, desk /chair combination, mirror, telephone service, cable television services, ethernet (computer) data port (one per student). Some rooms may have additional amenities depending upon residence hall.
What kinds of appliances are allowed in the room?
Radios, desktop stereo system, personal computers, typewriters, hair dryers, cosmetic razors and clocks are permitted, if they do not exceed amperage (power) limits for room circuits.
Students can use their own refrigerators, provided they meet the guidelines stated in the Housing Agreement. In brief, only one refrigerator is allowed per room. It may be no more than 3.5 cubic feet in internal size and no more than 1.5 running amps (found on the back of each refrigerator). For more information on what to bring click here .
What type of amenities are offered for campus housing?
Our residence halls are unique from building to building but in other ways alike. All residences halls offer complementary washers and dryers, social lounge areas, access to tennis courts, 24 hr security and surveillance, complementary cable, internet and phone, and study rooms. Other amenities offered are game rooms, computer labs, full kitchens, and conference rooms. (Note: Some amenities may not be offered for certain residence hall styles.)
