ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAMS

This program is designed to prepare graduates as competent paralegals or legal

assistants. Graduates will gain a broad knowledge of numerous areas of law while

strengthening specific legal skills that will enhance their role as non-lawyers in the delivery

of legal services. The paralegal program will train students in the practical application of

legal theory and develop analytical, critical thinking, communication, and organization skills.

While paralegals or legal assistants may not provide legal services directly to the public,

graduates of this program will be prepared to work effectively and efficiently with attorneys,

clients, and the public and will demonstrate a high regard for ethical behavior, professional

          responsibility, and confidentiality.
