          MYTH 1000 is a study of the mythology of a selected culture.  Discussions will
        
        
          include allusions to mythological tales and figures found in culture, literature, and
        
        
          the arts, as well as the function of myth in society.

          This course provides a fundamental foundation for the professional of nursing.
        
        
          The adult learner will be exposed to patient centered care model, teamwork,
        
        
          evidence-based practice and informatics with an emphasis on quality
        
        
          improvement.  Principles of medication calculation and safe administration are
        
        
          emphasized.  Development of personal responsibility and ethical behavior related
        
        
          to the performance of basic nursing skills will be acquired through supervised lab
        
        
          performance and selected clinical rotations.
        
        
          Prerequisites:  Admission to the Nursing program.
