Q. What is my Banner user ID?

A.  Your user ID for Banner is your RAM ID number (ex: 906######)

Q. What is my Banner PIN?

A.  The default pin is set to your birthday in a MMDDYY format.

Q. How can I retrieve my Banner ID?

A.  From the Banner Web login screen, select the Retrieve ID button. You will be directed to a screen to input additional information. Be sure to enter the name the institution has on record for you. (back to top)

Q. How do I reset my Banner PIN?

A. From the Banner Web login screen, type in your user ID and select the Forgot PIN button. You will be directed to a screen to answer your security question. You will then be asked to enter a new PIN for future access.  

Q. Where can I obtain the schedule for classes?

A. From the Banner Web homepage, select Schedule of Classes.

Q. How can I determine in Banner if my class is Full Term, A Term or B Term?
 

A. Once you log into your Banner Web account, locate your Student Detailed Schedule and notate the start date and end date of the course. (back to top)

Q. Where can I locate my detailed class schedule?
 

A. Once you log into your Banner Web account, locate your Student Detailed Schedule and notate the start date and end date of the course.

Q. How do I update my contact information?
 

A. Once you log into your Banner Web account, locate the Personal Information Tab.   You will be directed to a screen with the Personal Information Menu. Once here you will be able to change your PIN, change your security question, update your address(es) and Phone(s), update email address(es), update emergency contact information, view name change information and so forth.

Q. How do I check the status of my Financial Aid?                               

A. Once you log into your Banner Web account, click on the Student and Financial Aid link on the main menu. You will be directed to the Student and Financial Aid menu in Banner Web. Once here you will click on the Financial Aid link. Once in this area of Banner Web you will be able to review the status of your financial aid applications, check the status of document requirements and review your loans. (back to top)

Q. Where do I access my student email account?

A. You can sign-in to your student email at https://login.live.com

Q. What is my student email address?

A. The format for your student email is yournetworkid@students.asurams.edu (ex. jsumuck01@students.asurams.edu).

Q. How do I retrieve my student email address?

A. From the Banner Web login screen, select the Retrieve Email and fill in the requested information. (back to top)

Q. What username and password do I use to access my student email for the first time?

A. Your complete student email address is your username and the default password is P@ssword!2. You will be prompted to change this password upon your initial logon.  

ASU NETWORK ACCOUNT

Q. How do I retrieve my Network ID?

A. You may contact the ASU help desk at 229-430-4909. You can also visit the ASU help desk located on the first floor of the James Pendergrast Memorial Library.(back to top)

Q. Where on the asurams website can I access the Password Management Portal?

A. Form the Albany State University homepage, select Help in the top right corner and drop down to select Password Reset. Once on the site you must register your account in order to reset your password.   You may also click the image below to access the password management portal.

Q. What are the requirements for setting an asurams network password?

A. Your password must be at least 10 characters in length including 2 of the following: a capital letter, a number or a symbol.

Q. What does the Network ID access?

A. The Network ID provides access to the myASU Portal, campus computers, wireless and the Housing (StarRez) portal. (back to top)

Q. What does the Password Management Portal offer?

A. The Password Management Portal offers the ability to reset the Network ID password when needed. Users are able to register for an account using the current and active Network ID credentials. Upon successful login, users can click on the Enrollment tab to register two security questions and after successful setup of enrollment, users may utilize the Reset Password link on the main Password Management Portal page whether they are on campus or off campus.
 

PRINTING
Q. What is WEPA?
A. WEPA gives all students, faculty, and staff the ability to print documents from any location (i.e. labs, libraries, dorm rooms, cafeterias, etc.) and conveniently retrieve those documents at any WEPA printing kiosk on campus. Click Here for WEPA Guide.
Q. What is the cost for printing?

A. Black and White copies cost $.09 per copy and Color copies cost $.35 per copy.
Q. How do I put money on my account to print?

A. All student printing services require pre-payment (please make a minimum $5 deposit or an additional $.35 processing charge will be added by WEPA) use of debit or credit card that the WEPA Kiosk. The Cashier’s Office will accept pre-payment. The Cashier’s Office will accept pre-payments during normal business hours, Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The Cashier’s Office is located in ACAD 284. (back to top)
Q. Who should I talk to about issues/concerns with printing?

A. Any questions concerning payments and credits, contact the Cashier’s Office at (229) 430-1111, contact the ASU Helpdesk at (229) 430-4909 for technical matters and contact the Division of Student Affairs at (229) 903-3607 for all other non-technical matters. If it is an issue with what you are printing or payments and credits concerning your WEPA account, please contact WEPA @ 1-800-675-7639.

Q. What is StarRez?

A. StarRez is the Housing Portal.
Q. How do I retrieve my username and password for the myHousing (StarRez) portal?

Q. Where can I go to access the Housing (StarRez) Portal?

A. Students may login to the myASU Portal from the top right of the Albany State University homepage and select the StarRez Housing Portal icon from the icon list under Online Tools. Students may also access the Housing Portal from the Albany State University Homepage. From the Current Students dropdown, select Student Housing and click on the myHousing Portal in the Navigation Bar to the left of the page.
Q. How do I apply for Housing?

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

Q. How do I request my official transcript?
A. To request your official Albany State University Transcript, go to www.asurams.edu. You will click on the Registrar link on the right side of the homepage. Next you will click on Forms and Waivers on the left side in the navigation bar. Download the transcript request form and fax it to the number on the form.
Q. How do I pay for my official transcript online? 

A. Go to the Albany State University Homepage - www.asurams.edu. You will click on the Administration link on the top of the homepage. Next you will click on Fiscal Affairs and then Financial Operations. Once you are on the Financial Operations page, you will click on How to Make an Online Payment.
