provision listed in this catalog, including but not limited to academic requirements for graduation,
without actual notice to individual students. Every effort will be made to keep students advised of

Information regarding academic requirements for graduation will be available in the offices of the
Registrar, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Vice President for Academic Affairs. It is the
responsibility of each student to keep him or herself apprised of current graduation requirements for
a degree program in which he or she is enrolled.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF STUDENT RECORDS
This College is covered by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which
is designed to protect the student's rights with regard to educational records maintained by the
College. Under this Act, a student has the right to inspect and review educational records maintained
by the College that pertain to the student; the right to challenge the content of records on the grounds
that they are inaccurate, misleading, or a violation of privacy or other rights; and the right to control
disclosures from the educational records with certain exceptions. A written policy detailing how
Darton State College complies with the provisions of the Act may be found in the Student
Handbook.
