2016

January-May 11

Consolidation Implementation Committee meets to determine new university’s vision and mission statement, recommendations submitted to BOR for approval at March BOR meeting.

Consolidation Implementation Committee meets to determine new university’s senior level organization structure, and college structure; recommendations submitted to BOR for approval at May BOR meeting.

January

Proposed OWG structure submitted to Coordinators (Presidents, VPs APs, Deans).

Coordinators identify Co-Chairs and committee membership (including senate and students as appropriate).

Coordinators and Co-Chairs review and amend task lists for OWGs.

February

OWG Co-Chairs select committee members; hold first meeting; and submit planning document to Randy Stuart no later than February 15th.

February-July 31:

Operational Working Groups begin operating no later than February 12^th. .

OWGs make recommendations on each task and submit to Randy Stuart.

(Short form – Recommendation then 7 line rationale.);

Recommendation goes to “First Level of Review”;

If all First Level Reviewers approve recommendation goes to CIC on Consent Agenda;

If any First Level Reviewer does not approve recommendation goes to CIC on Discussion Agenda.

Recommendations will be submitted to Consolidation Implementation Committee by July 30 and approved by CIC by August 31.

Recommendations are compiled and form basis of report to Regents.

February 1-May 30:

SACS-COC Prospectus Development Team begins work on prospectus for submission to SACS-COC based on materials from OWGs approved by CIC and/or BOR.

May-August 14:

SACS-COC Prospectus Development Team develops draft prospectus while CIC reviews and approves remaining OWG recommendations.

August 15- August 31:

CIC reviews prospectus and submit suggestions for revisions.

Sept. 1-Sept. 10:

SACSCOC Prospectus Development Team finalizes prospectus.

Sept 15:

Prospectus submitted to SACS-COC.

Sept 15-December 6:

SACS-COC reviews prospectus.

December 3-6:

SACSCOC approves prospectus at annual meeting.

2017

January 2017:

USG BOR gives final approval to consolidation.

January-July 2017:

Final consolidation elements put in place.

Fall Semester 2017:

Full consolidation in place.
