National Summer Transportation Institute Program | 5/26 - 6/19

The Federal Highway Administration funds the Summer Transportation Institute program through the Georgia Department of Transportation. The program aims to expose minority youths to career opportunities in the transportation industry. The program will include field trips, including an overnight trip.

ASU Literacy, Math, & Career Development Summer Camp | 6/1 - 6/30

- Age Requirement: Middle and High School Students
The ASU Literacy, Math & Career Development Enrichment Program is a comprehensive training program for middle and high school students in a five-county geographical area in the Albany State University service area. Those counties include Dougherty, Mitchell, Terrell, Lee, and Worth. The four-week summer program will enroll 60 middle and high school students to participate in a classroom training program to enhance reading skills and career development. The four-week project will be held Monday – Friday each week. Students will arrive on campus at 8 a.m., and be dismissed at 2 p.m.

ASU Accelerated Research Training Experience & Mentorship in STEM (ARTEMIS) Precollege Summer Institute (PSI) Scholars Program | 6/1 - 6/14

The ASU Accelerated Research Training Experience & Mentorship in STEM (ARTEMIS) Precollege Summer Institute (PSI) is a two-week, day residential camp for rising sophomore and junior high school students interested in pursuing a STEM-based career, sponsored by NASA.
Participating students will explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The ARTEMIS Precollege Summer Institute offers active, hands-on learning in STEM, and college preparation and career-based mentoring. ASU students, faculty, and staff organize a week of creative activities and lessons incorporating science into the daily curricula, including flying UAVs (drones), launching rockets, microcontrollers, and chemistry. Students will also participate in a week-long Data Science and Artificial Intelligence workshop hosted in part by Wells Fargo.
Students will also be introduced to real-world science applications through off-campus trips to locations such as the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The program is committed to enhancing science education and increasing the number of minorities and women in STEM fields.

Summer Health Sciences & STEM Academy | June 2-6

Age Requirement: 9-12 grade
The Summer Health and STEM Academy is a week-long immersive program designed to expose high school students to diverse careers in science and healthcare. The program, in conjunction with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, provides exploration in areas such as chemistry, anatomy, nursing, and more. Each participant will also receive a $300 stipend upon successful completion of the program.

Solar Energy Summer Camp – A Step Towards a Green Sustainable Society | 6/2 – 6/6

The Solar Energy Summer Camp - “A Step Towards a Green Sustainable Society” is themed as a two-week clean energy summer program for 30 local high schoolers (9th-12th grade) by increasing their awareness of the scientific, technological, economic, environmental, and practical knowledge in solar energy, along with hands-on activities to train them with state of art techniques and cutting-edge technologies in clean energy, exposing them to all possible clean energy-related career pathways.

Albany State Youth Enrichment Program (ASYEP) 6/2 - 7/18

The Albany State Youth Enrichment Program (ASYEP) is a community outreach initiative designed to provide youth within the city of Albany and Dougherty County, Georgia, and the surrounding counties an opportunity to engage in various enrichment activities.
The primary venture of the program is to include youth development, physical fitness and wellness, and the development of social and academic skills. Youth will engage in hands-on sports activities (basketball, volleyball, softball, kickball, and swimming), and immersive academic courses. This summer outreach program will also allow participants to think and begin planning their educational and professional careers.

AL/ML Literacy and Train Machine Learning Models Using AI and Web Browsers | 6/2-6/27

AI and Machine learning are now defining the future of our civilization. Currently, there is no course offering in any middle and high schools in the local communities. This summer camp intends to provide a literacy course that covers the basics of AI and Machine Learning. It lasts about 4 weeks. There are two sessions, one for middle school students, and the other is for high school students. Participants of the morning sessions will gain knowledge about basics of ML/AI, and use an LLM chatbot and a graphics generation tool to design a textbook for 6 grade students. High school students will use AI to develop webpages that train two Machin Learning models, one is for linear regression and the other is for recognizing hand writing digits.

ASU's Center for Blockchain Innovation and Emerging Technology will host its annual Summer STEM Enrichment Program at ASU's East Campus. ASU will provide three uniquely themed sessions of week-long STEM Camps. Each session consists of fun hands-on STEM/STEAM activities that provide students with technology, problem-solving, challenges, and cooperative activities. Sessions are designed to help students develop the skills, knowledge, and capabilities needed for our technology-driven world. Both girls and boys will find fun and creative activities in our week-long camp sessions. Programs will include take-home components so that participants can continue expanding their knowledge!
The camp will be Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Social Justice Youth Summer Camp will expose participants to social justice activism
