Each semester students must complete a Dual Enrollment scholarship application on GA Futures. Public/private school students must complete an online application. Once this has been submitted the high school counselor will then submit their portion, listing the classes the student is enrolled in at Albany State in STARS. The post-secondary official will reject the application if courses need to be changed with a note explaining the changes. Home School students must complete a paper application except for section 3 and turn it in to the post-secondary official. Once received, the application will be mailed off to Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC).

This application must be submitted by the following deadlines:

  • Fall: October 1st
  • Spring: March 1st
  • Summer: May 15th

All schools wishing to participate in Dual Enrollment must complete a participation agreement yearly to GSFC. Home Schools can mail their participation agreement to GSFC directly or submit it to the postsecondary official to mail to GSFC.

Please visit our forms page to print a participation agreement.

Even though a student may meet the eligibility requirements for Dual Enrollment, it does not necessarily mean they are ready for college-level coursework. Many college courses are framed differently than high school courses. To see major differences between college and high school, please visit our college readiness information sheet.
