Bridgette Wilder appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Albany State University

Bridgette WilderALBANY, Ga. – Albany State University (ASU) President Marion Ross Fedrick has announced an addition to her executive leadership team with the appointment of Bridgette Wilder as the Chief Human Resources Officer. The appointment is effective Dec. 2.

Wilder brings extensive knowledge having worked in both the private and public sectors inclusive of such industries as higher education, city government, transportation, telecommunications, business services, non-profit and banking.

Prior to her appointment, she served the City of Memphis in the dual roles of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Safety Officer and Senior Manager – HRBP. She was responsible for the operational and strategic management of diversity and inclusion, workplace safety, and employee relations and labor relations, among other duties. Additionally, she has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Media Fusion, where she established the Human Resources Department and was responsible for the strategic and operational areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance/risk management, benefits, diversity outreach, and compensation analysis.

Previous roles also include leading as the Human Resources Manager at the Verizon Wireless Huntsville Call Center, Deputy Director of Human Resources/Chief Diversity at The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina; Employee Relations Representative & Corporate Trainer for Airborne Express; Manager of Recruitment & Training at INROADS, Inc.; Market Source Corporation where she marketed IBM personal systems to the VA higher educational system; Automation Specialist for SouthTrust Corporation and Jefferson State Community College; and owner of Communications Link.

Wilder earned an MBA from Averett University, a bachelor’s in human resources from Birmingham-Southern College, a bachelor’s in workforce education from Southern Illinois University and an associate’s degree in computer science from Jefferson State Community College.
