Albany State University Offers Free Summer Camps for Youth and Teens

Albany State University (ASU) is excited to welcome middle and high school students to campus this summer for a variety of free enrichment camps. From STEM to the arts, ASU summer programs offer students an opportunity to explore career pathways, develop academic skills, and engage in hands-on learning in a safe and supportive environment.

One of ASU’s signature offerings, the Albany State Youth Enrichment Program (ASYEP), will host an in-person registration day on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Jones Brothers Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER) Complex, Room 242 on the East Campus. ASYEP provides youth ages 7-14 with a summer filled with physical activities, educational development, and life skills training.

The University will also offer a variety of academic and interest-based camps including the ASU Literacy, Math & Career Development Summer Camp, the ARTEMIS STEM Scholars Program, the Summer Health Sciences & STEM Academy, and the ASU Summer Music and Arts Camp. These programs are designed to provide meaningful, skill-building experiences while exposing participants to college life and potential future careers.

From launching rockets and learning robotics to exploring solar energy and diving into the world of artificial intelligence, ASU’s summer camps are designed to inspire curiosity and confidence in students from Albany and surrounding communities.
