The 9-credit-hour certificate will be offered in an asynchronous online format, which will be flexible and convenient for students, working professionals, and anyone desiring to advance in the healthcare field. It will be possible to complete the healthcare leadership certificate, consisting of three courses in one semester.   

Information on the three courses comprising the graduate healthcare leadership certificate is as follows: 

(1) MGMT 6120 Leadership and Cross-Cultural Management- a theory-based, integrative, and hands-on view of leadership;

(2) MGHC 6000 Quality Management and Leadership in Healthcare- an emphasis on continuous improvement and quality;

(3) MGHC 6108 Advanced Health Policy and Legal Issues -- the integration of policy and legal issues in the planning, delivery, and organization of health services.

Certification Learning Outcomes:

Students will:

This 9-credit-hour certificate will be offered in an asynchronous online format, which is flexible and convenient for students, working professionals, and anyone desiring to advance in the operations management and quality management fields.

This certificate consists of three graduate-level courses. Information on the three courses comprising the graduate certificate in Six Quality Management follows:

(1) MGMT 6108 Quantitative Methods for Managers - discusses various quantitative methods used for analytical decision making and provides the statistical background to the participants.

(2) LOGM 6113 Advanced Quality Management - discusses lean six sigma tools and procedures used in quality management projects.

(3) MGMT 6120 Leadership and Cross-Cultural Management—provide students with a theory-based, integrative, hands-on, practical view of leadership.

(1) LOGM 6101 Global Supply Chain Management -- presents key concepts of supply chain management in global supply chains.

Certificate Description:

The graduate certificate in Organization Change and Development will be offered through a uniquely accessible, accredited, attainable, and affordable graduate MBA degree program. This certificate will introduce students to theoretical concepts of change management, specific organizational development, human resource management, organizational learning and knowledge management, and enhance their consultancy skills. Students will be introduced to the theory of organizational change and development, to individual, group, organizational, and community learning, the concept of learning organizations and responsibilities of human resources management, different stages of knowledge management, and how to develop knowledge-creating companies. This graduate certificate will focus on converting organizational learning and employees’ knowledge into a corporation’s sustainable competitive advantages.

Information on the four courses comprising the graduate certificate in Organization Change and Development follows:

(1) MGMT 6110 Organization Change and Development: discusses different aspects of employee behavior, culture, structure, leadership, and teamwork.

(2) MGMT 6125 Advanced Human Resources Management: discusses different aspects of managing human resources within a legal, social, and economic environment.

(3) MGMT 6126 Organizational Learning- discusses what is a learning organization. What behavioral changes are required within employees for organizational learning to occur? What policies and programs must be in place for organizational learning? How does one get from a starting point to organizational learning?

(4) MGMT 6128 Knowledge Management- discusses knowledge management, stages of knowledge management, various processes and tools required to design knowledge-creating organizations.
