Educational Talent Search

What is ETS?

Albany State University's Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded TRIO program that is committed to preparing and motivating low-income, first generation students for success in postsecondary education. This program provides academic, career, financial, and personal counseling to 500 students that attend the targeted middle and high schools in the Dougherty County School System. ETS seeks students who have the desire, ability, and motivation to excel in their education. Joining ASU ETS implies students and their parents are willing to make a commitment to their future. This program also encourages those who have not completed educational programs at the secondary or postsecondary level to enter or re-enter and graduate.

The Educational Talent Search program is completely free for participants and is 100% grant funded.

Mission Statement

ETS aims to support our students' success in middle and high school while providing awareness and experiences that allow them to gain the knowledge and skills to transition into postsecondary education. ETS will promote lifelong learners.
