Dear ASU Faculty, Staff, and Students,
As a proud member institution of the University System of Georgia, it is imperative
that we uphold the USG’s mission of integrity, good judgment, and dedication to public service from all members of
the USG Community. As a proud member, we actively engage in the annual Ethics Awareness Week. The
2022 theme is, “SPIRIT of USG,” committed to Stewardship. Prevention. Integrity. Responsibility.
Inspiration. and Trust.
This year’s recognition and week-long series of activities will occur November 7-13.
Chancellor Sonny Perdue and Dan Cathy of Chick-fil-A will kick off the week-long series
with a live chat scheduled for November 7 at 11 a.m. I encourage each of you to join
by accessing the JOIN LIVE link.
On November 10 at 11 a.m., USG’S Ethics and Compliance Best Practices panel will convene
to discuss the topic; Steering an Ethical Culture through Rapid Change and the Great Resignation. I encourage you to engage in the anticipated and timely discussion by registering
here.
Lastly, ASU colleagues, Joel Wright, Chief Legal Officer, Ola Terrell Jordan, Chief
Human Resource Officer, and Chief Anita Allen recently met to discuss ethical best
practices within and beyond the workplace. The discussions will be shared through
our various University Communications channels and will also air on ASU TV Channel
19 and WASU-FM 92.7.
Reminder communications with details about each of the SPIRIT of USG Ethics Awareness
Week events will be shared throughout next week. To learn more about the purpose of
Ethics Awareness Week, be sure to watch the USG 2022 EAW Kickoff Video.
I look forward to your participation, support, and continued commitment to ensuring
Albany State University maintains and upholds all aspects of an ethical culture.
