The event was part of Chegg’s 3rd Annual Global Student Mental Health Week, which ran from February 24 - March 2, 2025. The week-long initiative, aimed at destigmatizing mental health and promoting student wellness, highlights the importance of support networks and accessible resources in fostering mental well-being. This year’s theme, "In It Together," emphasized that no one succeeds alone.

The program featured a panel discussion with students, faculty, staff, and local community leaders. The panel provided an open space for conversation, discussing the significance of mental health resources and how they can be more accessible to students.

Students shared their reflections on the event, offering valuable insights:

One student remarked, “I learned that there is always someone who is going through a more challenging situation than the next person, as evidenced by the stories shared by everyone. I realized that many individuals experience some form of a mental health issue, whether it affects them directly, impacts their family and friends, or arises from their observations of the world around them. Additionally, I found that many young students participate in activities as a way to cope or manage their mental health.”

Another student shared, “I found it inspiring to hear people's stories about how they overcame their challenges. As a college student, I sometimes feel like I’m navigating these struggles alone, so it was refreshing to gain insights from the panelists about ways to encourage ourselves and to remember that a higher power is always on our side. It was also valuable to see the speakers being vulnerable on stage, as it encouraged me to open up and share my own story. You never know who it might impact or how sharing experiences could help."

The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting one another and prioritizing mental health in all aspects of student life. ASU's partnership with Chegg for this global initiative showcased the University’s commitment to fostering an environment of care and trust for its students.
