Albany State University Celebrated Over 1,000 Students During Honors Day Ceremony
On Thursday, March 14, Albany State University (ASU) recognized over 1,000 students for their excellence in academic coursework and research during the 2024 Honors Day Ceremony.
“What you have accomplished today is phenomenal. You are setting an example for all your peers and even the high school students here today.” said ASU President Marion Ross Fedrick.“On behalf of the Albany State University administration, faculty, and staff, thank you for making this job worthwhile every single day.”
“In a nation and a world that needs leaders, you all are going to be tasked with it. As you continue your journey of excellence this will be your responsibility,” said guest speaker Dodie Cantrell-Bickley, Senior Lecturer for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication for the University of Georgia. “Remember that what you have accomplished today is about more than just you, it is about generational success.”
The Honors Day Ceremony will continue to be a traditional Albany State University event that celebrates the academic achievements of scholars and upholds the standard of excellence.
