Classes of 2020 + Spring 2021 Commencement Ceremonies

Albany State University will have an in-person Spring 2021 Commencement. The Classes of 2020 (Spring, Summer and Fall) have also been invited to be recognized.
 
The Classes of 2020 Commencement and Spring 2021 Commencement will be made up of four ceremonies over a two-day period. The commencement ceremonies will take place at the Albany James H. Gray Civic Center on Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9. Each ceremony will recognize up to 152 students, following health and safety guidelines. Doors will open one hour before each ceremony.
 
Saturday, May 8
Spring 2021 College of the Arts and Sciences: 10 a.m.
 
Spring 2021 College of Business, Education and Professional Studies: 4 p.m.
 
Sunday, May 9:
Spring 2021 Darton College of Health Professions: 10 a.m.
 
Classes of 2020: 4 p.m.
 
To limit face-to-face interaction and to increase the number of guests who may attend, faculty and the concert band will not participate in the ceremony. Music will be pre-recorded. Graduates will be able to walk across the stage after hearing their name announced.
 
Each student will be provided with up to four (4) tickets each for their family and friends to attend in-person. Information regarding how to pick up tickets will be sent to the graduates via email.
 
Each attendee must follow CDC guidelines for social distancing. Face masks will be required.
 
Due to limited seating, the commencement ceremony will be available to stream live on the ASU YouTube channel and Facebook page.
