Albany State University gears up for summer with a variety of camps
Albany State University 2018 Summer Camp Offerings
From science to sports, Albany State University 2018 summer programs offer academic enrichment and recreation camps for all age groups. The camps build life skills and provide academic enhancement to students during their summer break. The camp choices include STEM-based programs and sports.
Academy of Future Teachers
The Academy of Future Teachers- Albany provides STEM-based academic enrichment for high-school students in area counties. In a three-week summer program, high school participants will engage in STEM-based teaching and learning experiences to strengthen their content knowledge. They will create animated shorts, computer and engineering models, and investigate how infectious disease influence the human body. Appropriate for high school students considering future careers in STEM or STEM education.

Time: 9 a.m. -noon, Monday -Thursday
Location: Billy C. Black Building, Room 183, East Campus
Camp participants should be enrolled in an area high school and should be between
the ages of 15-19
There is no cost to participants
Participants should bring daily lunch or snacks.

ASU-Constellation Solar Camp - 2018
The Albany State University Constellation Green Energy Camp is STEM based, and hosted
in sponsorship with Constellation Energy, an Exelon Company.
During the camp middle and high school, students will apply physics, mathematics and
engineering skills to design, assemble and operate a green energy system to generate
power at night.
Date June 11, 2018 – July 20, 2018.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

- Solar cell, series/parallel operation & measurement Monday 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Physics, Math & Engineering in Solar panel design Tuesday 1-4 p.m.
- Assembly & Operation of GREEN energy system Thursday 1-4 p.m.
