Faculty and Staff Group Exercise Program

Faculty and staff, it is time to Commit to Yourself.  In alignment with the USG health and wellness initiative, it is time for ASU to Get Active.  The Health & Wellness department is launching our first wave of  Let’s Get Moving ASU; a program dedicated to enhancing health and wellness awareness amongst our colleagues and across the ASU campus.  Our first initiative is to offer three days of group exercise programs.  Two will consist of slow movement and one will serve as a more intense body workout.  As we progress and our participation grows, we will look to add more fitness opportunities moving forward.  It is understandable exercising alone can become laborious, however, group exercise allows for a more social setting as well as individual accountability.  We are launching our first week starting March 27th and will continue through the month of April leading up to the end of the semester.

  • A "Lunch and Walk" will be held two days a week.

    • Walking Group -  Tuesday, March 27 - West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 .pm.

    • Walking Group - Thursday, March 29 -  West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.

    • Walking Group -  Tuesday, April 3 - West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 .pm.

    • Walking Group - Thursday, April 5 -  West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.

    • Walking Group -  Tuesday, April 10 - West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 .pm.

    • Walking Group - Thursday, April 12 -  West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.

    • Walking Group -  Tuesday, April 17 - West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 .pm.

    • Walking Group - Thursday, April 19 -  West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.

    • Walking Group -  Tuesday, April 24 - West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 .pm.

    • Walking Group - Thursday, April 26 -  West Campus, Track (softball field), 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.



  • An after-work exercise program will be held one day a week.-   ‘Body Pump’.  A more strenuous cardio-strength training exercise program utilizing full body movements with no weights.

    • Body Pump (no weights) - Wednesday, March 28 -   West Campus, Recreation Gym, 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Body Pump (no weights) - Wednesday, April 4 -   West Campus, Recreation Gym, 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Body Pump (no weights) - Wednesday, April 11 -   West Campus, Recreation Gym, 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Body Pump (no weights) - Wednesday, April18 -   West Campus, Recreation Gym, 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Body Pump (no weights) - Wednesday, April 25 -   West Campus, Recreation Gym, 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m.
