What are your post graduation plans?
My post-graduation plans are to work at Albany State University in the Office of Financial Aid as the imaging specialist. My responsibility as the imaging specialist is to organize daily preparation, scanning and verification of all of the documents that we receive through our office. I received this position when it was brought to my attention by my then director, Mrs. Stephanie Lawrence. To this day, I am still grateful for her trusting me with this opportunity.
Who made the biggest impact on you and who is someone you consider to be a role model at ASU?
A person who made a big impact on me here at Albany State University would be my psychology professors, Dr. George Thomas, Dr. William Reed and Dr. Hema Mason. Throughout my college career, my professors have been extremely patient and supportive. Even though my time as a student at Albany State University is coming to an end, the young woman that I have grown to be is highly influenced by my amazing professors.
What advice would you give to students with an interest in ASU and your chosen profession?
I would advise students to form great relationships with their professors and peers and to stay consistent with their studying. I would also stress the importance of networking. You should always have a positive attitude because you never know who you are speaking with and what opportunities they could give you.
